About the Role

The Royal Sydney Golf Club is seeking an organised and proactive Procurement Officer to join our team. This hands-on role is responsible for coordinating the purchasing, receiving, and stock control processes for food, beverage, and general stores. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of supplies to our outlets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and service.

Reporting to the Hospitality Manager, collaborating with the House Operations team, you’ll oversee stock management and cost control systems, liaise with suppliers, support operational teams, and contribute to cost control and efficiency improvements across the Club.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular reviews of food and beverage purchasing to achieve quality and cost efficiency
• Place and track purchase orders using the in-house stock control system
• Receive and check deliveries against purchase orders and quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of invoices and assist with monthly purchasing reports
• Perform monthly stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory levels
• Support outlet teams by efficiently processing requisitions and maintaining storage areas
• Manage cleanliness, safety, and WH&S compliance across receiving and storage areas
• Assist in maintaining cellar and post-mix equipment
• Train new staff in Stores and Housekeeping procedures
• Review and improve processes for operational effectiveness

About You

You are a reliable, detail-oriented professional with experience in purchasing or stores operations, ideally within a hospitality environment. You thrive in a team setting, communicate effectively, and take pride in maintaining organised and efficient systems.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar procurement or stores role
• Experience managing purchasing cycles and stock via purchase orders
• Knowledge of cellar or post-mix operations (beer lines experience advantageous)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Confident with manual handling tasks (lifting up to 10kg)
• NSW Driver’s Licence (required)
• NSW RSA Certificate (preferred)
• Forklift Licence (preferred)
• Food & beverage industry experience (desirable)
