We all work together to progress the Club and to uphold its traditions; we aim for excellence, to lead and support each other, and to enjoy the experience.The roleReporting to the Director of Clubhouse and working within a close-knit team your primary purpose is to create and maintain the Clubhouse floral arrangements, providing flowers for Private Member Events and Club Events.This is a part-time 12-month contract requiring flexible availability to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. At times you may be required to work on weekends to assist with floral display set ups for Events.Key tasks include:Providing a creative input into designing and maintaining the floral arrangements in the ClubhouseAttending weekly flower markets and purchase flowers with a budget set by the Club for "House" floral arrangementsManage budget and invoicing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner along with basic admin tasksProvide themed arrangements for Club Events (i.e. Mother’s Day, Christmas, Guest speakers)Assist with Member floral enquires, planning and executing for Private Member EventsSupport the Events team in collaborating creatively for Club and Private Member EventsWorking with the appropriate departments to assist in producing flower brochures, web galleriesCreating visual merchandising for displays around the ClubConditioning of flowers once purchased before making flower arrangementsPreparing, organising and running member DIY workshops What does the Club need from me?A high level of florist and styling experience with the ability to display creativeness in coming up with different flower arrangements each weekExcellent knowledge of floristry and suppliers at the marketsExcellent interpersonal skills displaying confidence but yet consideration when dealing with membersFormal floristry trainingAbility to work autonomouslyDisplay flexibility around seasonal peaksAbility to work both weekdays and weekendsDrivers licenseWillingness to work creatively with other departments to achieve the Clubs creative and style vision Work with us!Staff wellbeing program which includes free exercise classes for staff in our state-of-the-art fitness facilities, access to staff golf lessons and tennis clinics and access to an Employee Assistance ProgramStaff fund/bonus at year end17.5% loading on Annual Leave and Special Recreation LeaveUniforms provided plus uniform allowance Daily staff meals20% discount on purchases (wine, sporting goods from our retail store)15% discount on TFE hotel or apartment bookings across Australia, New Zealand and Europe.
