About The Royal Sydney Golf ClubThe Royal Sydney Golf Club, one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions, is a private members club, proudly hosting a number of world class sporting events including the 2011 Davis Cup Tie. The RoleReporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, administration and delivery of a high level of service to members across all events and functions at the club. This is a full-time position which is required to be available to work a flexible roster which includes evenings and weekends as well as weekdays in line with event activities. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Functions Department in a hands-on capacity;Implement and maintain processes, policies and structure to the department with the focus on improving standards of service across the Functions Department;Provide people management, operational and admin support to the F&B Manager for the overall running of the F&B department;Execute the function delivery to ensure the experience provided to members and their guests is of the highest quality and is delivered professionally in line with the Clubs exceptional service standards and budget requirements;Ensure that billing for all functions and events is charged and processed correctly as per Event Order instructions on the day of the event;Liaise with the Sommelier to ensure that the POS system is accurate and up to date with current products and pricing; Guide and coach with F&B Supervisor to manage and develop direct reports including training and development, rostering to labour standards and responsibility for the output of staff within each department;Create and maintain a culture of open communication transparency, support and collaboration, ensuring staff behave in a manner which is reflective of Club Values.
