Golf Operations Attendant

The Royal Sydney Golf Club, a private members club, is fortunate to be considered one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions, having proudly hosted a number of world class sporting events including the Australian Open on 15 occasions and the 2011 Davis Cup. It is recognised nationally and internationally for its world class sporting facilities which include two golf courses, 18 tennis courts, bowling greens, croquet lawns, squash courts, snooker tables, a gym, swimming pools, cafes, club bar, a dining room, accommodation rooms and multiple function rooms.

The Role

Reporting into the Golf Operations Manager you will assist in the smooth running of the concourse. You will be responsible for attending to the needs and enquiries of members and guests ensuring that exceptional member service is delivered at all times.

This is a part-time role that requires flexibility to work shifts between Fridays to Mondays. The hours will range between 20-25 per week with shifts ranging between 6am starts and 7:00pm finishes. 

The key tasks in this role include:

• Assist in daily sport shop operations
• Assist with tee bookings and time sheet management
• Facilitate retail service to members
• Daily operational tasks including but not limited to cleaning and maintenance of bag storage, cart storage and staging areas.

• Availability to work mid-week and weekends – shifts ranging between 6am starts and 7pm finishes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using computers and associated software programs
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and members.
• Experience with booking and point of sale systems (preferred)
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks
